Our design challenge

Catunambú is Spain’s premium coffee brand located in Seville. As part of their expansion plan, the Benelux region became a focal point, and the world of office workers was identified as a high potential market. Our task was to develop a unique to market business coffee concept that delivered a carefully blended, artisanal coffee brand right to the heart of office workers.


Pleasure Melons teamed up with our fantastic client and a deal was negotiated and finalized to develop a unique, fully integrated coffee concept for exclusive distribution by Lyreco – a worldwide distributer of office supplies and workplace products. The enthusiastic team at Pleasure Melons was tasked with creating all the materials necessary, including naming, branding and the development of all packaging materials required to complete the concept.


The authentic taste of Andalucía

A premium coffee deserves premium packaging. The attention to the finest details can be seen in the design and finishing of the entire range. The product names and graphics were developed with a specialist calligrapher to capture the essence of the flavors – in turn creating a unique identity for each taste. The striking graphics were inspired by the Moorish ceramic tile designs from 711AD, a cultural reference to Seville – the ancestral home of the Catunambú brand. The Moors introduced a variety of artistic techniques, including a unique way of painting ceramic tiles called 'Zellige'. This artistic style has been carefully developed to deliver a modern take on an ancient art.
